Personal Goals

Our 8 personal goals are thoughtfulness, respect, morality, adaptability, enquiry, cooperation, communication and resilience. We have these goals because we want all the children to be friendly, kind and caring in school and outside in the community.

They teach us to show respect and do the right things.

We are rewarded for showing the personal goals with ‘Well done cards’ and in Commendation assemblies.

Growth Mindset

Do you have a growth mindset? Well, if you take a look below maybe you could change your attitude towards your learning:

At William Torbitt we are taught to show a growth mindset. This means that we show a positive attitude towards learning, even when things are difficult. We know that we can learn from mistakes, pick ourselves up and try again instead of giving up (resilience).

It is important to show a growth mindset, as it helps us to be better learners.
