Welcome to our Reception. We are very proud of our caring and nurturing environment and can offer you and your child a wonderful welcome at William Torbitt Primary school.

All of our classrooms reflect the topics and themes and change every half term to create a fun, engaging and stimulating learning environment. Our children are given the freedom to take their learning either inside or outside as we operate a free flow system between the indoor and outdoor environments. Reception is well resourced and benefits from a large fenced outdoor area as well as a sensory corridor, large fields, growing gardens and a secure pond.​

We develop positive relationships with parents through our transition arrangements and home visits and value our parents as partners to ensure the best possible start for your child within our Reception. Parents are encouraged and always welcome to join in with their children’s learning through ‘come and create’ mornings, parent workshops, trips and so much more!
